U.S. Public Holidays

Note: This list includes federal public holidays observed nationwide in the United States. Most floating holidays (MLK Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving) follow the "Monday holiday" rule. Juneteenth has been a federal holiday since 2021. If a holiday falls on a weekend, it is observed on the nearest weekday, but only the calendar date is shown here.
